HOʻOMAKUA: generational growth realized
In 2025, Kupeke Ahupuaʻa successfully secured the ownership of 300 acres of Kupeke ahupuaʻa. This acquisition spans from the highest peak at Punalua down to the historic kuapa walls of the Kupeke fishpond on the shoreline. By bringing the land under its own name, Kupeke Ahupuaʻa has symbolically become self-owning; our role now secured in perpetuity as servants of this land and becoming a living example of the hawaiian proverb: 'He aliʻi ka ʻāina; He kauā ke kanaka; The land is chief; People are its servant'
